Any mods to help transport Lox?

I like breeding them in the mistlands to protect stuff. And when they die, well, hello lox meat! At least it gives me some time to fight the bugs.

Without mods could use console commands to spawn lox and tame them.

I was hoping OdinShip would have a ship long and wide enough, but alas...

Thanks, I already tamed a bunch and will just teleport them to the mistlands to seed a new family.

It is possible to transport these on a longship, although it is not easy.

You should use an Adult Lox and feed it with cloudberries on the ship to keep it happy!

First kill all Serpents along the route you want to take and only use the paddle so that the Lox doesn't damage your ship by speeding too much.

I've done this a few times, a real adventure!

If you want to do it without mods, you can ride a lox with the saddle across small channels or large channels that have strategically placed boulders or a bit of clever hoe work. Lox have a lot of stamina but they lose it swimming like you do (which is different from wolves). They regain stamina much slower than you do so you might have to wait beside a boulder for a while. Most mistlands is adjacent to plains at some point. Its easier to just tame new ones in the new area since you don't have to worry about stars with lox.
