You're not doing the right thing if you're trying to find logic in valheim, here metal ore is less in weight than metal produced from those ores after smelting, a 10 unit weigh food (cooked bonemaw meat) will provide 90 HP where a 0.5 unit weigh food (wolf skewer) will provide 65 HP and so on.
