Transformations next patch?
In reference to the two mountain images recently released by IronGate...

In the first image, the left runestone depicts someone, in the morning (depicted by the dots), praying to some sort of wolf idol. As the day passes, and as the figures arc around the runestone, you can see the figure suffering. The story continues on the right runestone. At high noon, the figure is standing, but as the day progresses, the person kneels on all fours, then turns into a wolf, then at night, finally stands up.

Then, in the second image, we see a Fenring-like creature chilling in a castle. Could this be a selfie of someone playing as a Fenring?

Maybe. It could just be a regular Fenring, but by the looks of the room it's in and those runes in the first image it looks like Iron Gate are going to be giving Fenrings a lot more attention in coming updates. I for one would not mind at all if Fenrings got a major buff to be more in line with the mini-bosses from the Black Forest and Swamp (Trolls and Abominations). Although the mountains do already have the golems which do seem to scale properly to the other mini-bosses in terms of challenge. But I still don't mind at all that the Fenrings are getting some love; they're awesome.

It is so not when you mess with the contrast and brightness of the image. :)

Are you speculating that players could possibly in the future transform into a werewolf? That'd be so cool! Idk if IG has alluded to anything about that?

The stones are a pictorial explanation of the existence of Fenring.

That's my guess. Some on reddit think it might be foreshadowing for a wolve boss in the deep north. You think there will be transformations. I think both are a stretch, but I guess time will tell.

I would rather there be a Fenring society that you can either attack or attempt to befriend.

It’s probably just hinting at the main enemy in the caves, fenrings. Would make sense, since they are rare enemies and the hardest mountain enemy apart from a stone golem.

In the "2021 roadmap" the update after home and hearth was cult of the wolf.

I'm not sure what you are getting at. I'm saying the roadmap from earlier this year mentioned the plans for a cult of the wolf update and the latest news shows screenshots that seem to depict content that probably relates to a cult of the wolf...

Yea probably just setting them up a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if these caves had usual enemies and then the devs will add these cultists to the mix later on.

Maybe they are surprising us with the Cult of the Wolf clan being in the mountain caves.

The left rock looks like humans bowing in worship to a huge wolf demi-god or something. The right looks like humans possibly morphing into Fenrings.

Looks good to me so far though

I know that players in the past have expressed they want transformations but idk if IG listened to them or the second image is a Fenring invading a player built castle? Or an instanced area with Fenring enemies, like the dungeons in swamps?

Who knows, but I think the runestones do depict humans transforming into Fenrings... the question is if we'll be able to transform as well.

I think with Viking history a werewolf is ostracized from society... so I doubt we would be in Odins favor if that happened.

Granted though, I am still learning about Viking history...
