Radius of fire burn
Anyone know what the range of a fireplace setting things on fire is? Haven't been able to play much by my old fire pit designs just set my little hut on fire now.

I'm think immediate proximity, maybe one 1x1 adjacent is enough for fire to catch. The world setting to enable flame spread in all biomes should be off by default, but will be enabled in Ashlands regardless.

If you turned on the fire spread for all biomes, consider disabling it for now.

Wait...so these wooden fireplaces I built will make a house catch fire now, if the flame spread is enabled elsewhere?

In the world modifiers there is an option to turn on the catch fire thing for all biomes. By default it is set for only ashlands( at least mine was) + for me is going to remain that way as I really don't want to see hours of building going up in smoke

Especially with no solution to stop the burning !

Just realizing it reading this post after playing the update 3 weeks on PTS, hopefully nothing burned in my other bases ^^

I just set a wooden shack on fire from a wooden fireplace - radius seemed to be 2x2m tiles. At a further 2m it left lumpy black sections on the floor - kind of like when the ground is uneven. I had less success starting a fire in the open - managed to ignite a log but it just turned into wood. I've only tried meadows so far - and have yet to see what happens with a stone structure/other biomes. The experiments will continue.
