Steam Deck Controls

Thanks to the developers for their efforts and that Valheim recognizes the deck as its own controller, but sadly it dumbs it down to the lower standard of contemporary console controllers.
Please do not keep my deck prisoner to these limitations.
Please let me use the mouse i have as part of the deck controller as if it was a mouse on another pc. Please do not have the game switching ideas if i use a controller or not, it's a Steam Deck, period. Especially with the inventories, Valheim thinks i have no trackpad mouse, but i even have 2 of them, which i like to utilize in my interfacing with games.

Trackpad as joystick is not fine, when my camera turnspeed is supposed to be different from the joystick.
This should not be a controller conversion. Whats the point of the dev effort, if i am better off totally making my control profile from scratch as emulating keyboard & mouse?
Please dear developers of Valheim, utilize steam input and stop holding my deck in shackles.
I have the same versatility of a keyboard and without motion controls, very comparable aim precision just with the trackpads.
The Vikings where the great Pioneers of ancient times, does Valheim not want to claim the same spirit in our age?

Why do you need a mouse with the steamdeck?
The whole point of the steamdeck is that you dont need a mouse. It even has a trackpad too.

The one thing Id like to see for the steamdeck is for them to make the game brighter. Its hard enough to see anything in the swamps when youre on a large screen desktop with the curtains closed, but being on a small screen portable out in the world, the game's so dark it's unusable.

ahh ok, I wasnt clear you meant that.

So you're asking them to allow you to use the steamdeck trackpad as a mouse whereas they mapped it as a joystick?

Arent there other custom mappings you could use?

you missed the part in my post in which i report, that valheim does not allow me using a mouse while it thinks im using a controller. while managing inventories it keeps switching "controller mode" and "mouse keyboard mode".
