doable? yes. absolutly. just requires some patience from the player.

fun? subjective and not possible to be answered as nobody here knows what YOU personally deem as "fun" fun aint a fixed defined thing thats the same for everyone you know?

I'd say the game is best played solo.

no way its not even close bro, solo is boring af compared to coop
Each has advantages. Solo you have to do everything. Teamed you can specialize.

1000 hr in all solo. Past bio 5 solo isn't an adventure it's a job. ;)

Been playing Valheim with the wife in co op mode for years. Plus small group of friends. Very playable in solo or with a small group.

Difficulty sorta scales the more folks you have in an area mind you! So you'll all have to pull your weight!

- absolutely doable
- fun is subjective

Solo requires more skill and attentiveness in combat and preparation, but the game moves at your pace, which is often a blessing in Valheim.

There's a lot to do in Valheim, and often you just want to do a lot, even if it's not necessary. And SP won't talk you into it if you've “wasted” an evening designing a roof or a barn for your boars. In MP, I only play with people who play at about my pace.

Yeah it's definitely do-able, plus you can tweak the world settings a bit so it's funner to your playstyle too. Resource collection would usually be a bit tedious solo so being able to increase the resource rate was helpful too.

yes it is fun, i play solo since a week. so far i had only one unfair stiuation, a serpent attacked my raft. so i used the console one time to fix this.
just be aware, the more bosses you kill the more events get activated. so always be at a certain level with armor/weapon and skills when you plan to kill the next boss.

All my play has been solo and enjoyed it immensely. It will take a while to learn the fighting skills and little ins and outs to survive. Took me a few playthrough to "get gud" and learn what works best for me. I could give you a bazzilion tips but the most important thing as a solo is having the best food available... which can require a lot of work and farming. The main thing I see watching youtube solo newbs is they are always running crappy food or letting their food buffs expire and then death. Also learning how to parry and dodge roll is essential. All the best .. its a great game.

I'm new player looking for friends to coop with, so add me and we can play together?

It's very doable solo. Just... don't ever commit to a long voyage. Make a lot of portals at regular intervals, so when you get ganked by a high level enemy you weren't prepared for, it's not such an excruciating task to reclaim your corpse.

I most often play Solo. Yes you can adjust the server settings to your play style. But I would like to play with a few people, just a handful as a group. I am not into PvP. I looked for an open server but only servers I found online are all Password protected. heh! Ok, going back to playing solo check you all out later.
