So what can you do with a maypole?
The maypole looks good if you put it on a Surtling flame.

Very pagan.

What else can you do with it though?

Build at all of your bases, it gives +1 comfort, there's a single natural spawn, it used to be a thing to find, but yeh, now a seasonal build item. I try use em as features

any photos to share for ideas? :)
they dont really blend in very well on the most part

and are they only buildable in June? So if we redesign our bases or they get smashed by trolls or whatever, we cant rebuild the maypole from July onwards?

Correct. The same is true for the Yule Tree which is only available during the months of December and January.

Might be able to set your date on your computer and make them?

Not sure about hammer mode because of the date restrictions (world settings from menu), but otherwise it's using the console to free build

BTW there is no reason not to put things like the maypole and yule tree on your roof or hidden

you can make a church looking cross out of it by embedding it into a wall. But I just don't like them, and hide it somewhere out sight.

Yeah I've embedded them into the walls at my stone bases. If you put them on an angle into the corner, you don't even have to remove any stones to do it.

Mine is in the attic on the third floor over my bed. Its provides its +1 comfort but its not where it disrupts the decor. I put one in the hot tub once.

So we have Maypole/head wreath for summer, Jack o turnip/withches hat for fall, Yule tree/santas hat/wreaths/presents/mistletoe for winter......

I wonder if they wil add something for spring and the Disting festival? Maybe a special Cultivator/scarecrow since it is start of the growing season? Or maybe a sacrificial alter so we can offer boars to Freyr and get a temporary sailing buff!!

Actually the more I thought about it........ I would love to see a sacfricial alter that if you sacrificed a boar it would work like a Vegvisir and "point" you to the trader. This makes sense lore wise if you read the article above. Scarifices were made to Freyr in spring to increase trade success. It would NOT make the trader visible on your map, just point your view to the closest one like the Vegvisir work in no map mode. Added bonus is it would really help in no map mode to find the trader during spring!
