How can i beat the Ashlands solo?
With what the Ashlands offer, i wonder how i'm supposed to manage this solo. I'm a bit overwhelmed.
Enough has already been said about it, so I'm not going to list the individual things here.

I'm playing melee. I've tried it several times as a mage, but it's not my thing. Apart from that, the armor value is considerably less.

I really love the game, the Ashlands are beautiful, the enemies are cool individually. The music is a masterpiece.

But how do I deal with these crowds? Always running away?
“Don't make any noise” is what was said here in this forum recently. How can I not make noise when fighting is already noisy or I want to mine the ore?

There are three Asksvins, one or two Morgans, maybe a Valk and the Skeletons. That's just too much of a good thing. The near spawners are already destroyed.

I like a challenge, but this is really heavy. How am I supposed to manage it without constantly running away and then not making any progress?
I don't have three minutes to catch my breath. And what's with the fortresses?

I won't mention now that the reduction in difficulty has nothing to do with the masses per se :)

Question over question... As you can see i'm a bit more overwhelmed :D
Please provide constructive suggestions or strategies. Thanks in advance

Total respect to all SOLO players out there whether you play modded or not. Now Fader's head is on my "Rogues Gallery" wall. I can finally get back to building...:dive:

That's the fun part, you're not. The biome was in no way designed with solo play in mind. You're going to have to engage the almighty cheese.

spamming skeleton pets, shield sphere and roots. And run like forest.

I completed everything in solo, except Fader and side quest at "mysterious ruins".

Not without reloading saves many times I confess. There's a limit in masochism and losing gear and skills. that 15 fps near fortresses was a perfect excuse

I play the game solo/melee without a bow. (1.700 hours now)
I haven't played Ashlands yet, because I've started a completely new map/char for it.

But I can't imagine that you can't solo the content.

Though I haven't played it yet, I know Ashlands is supposed to be a boss biome.
As if the whole continent should be a boss level.
So I assume you should forget about usual approaches from previous biomes and prepare for a continuous fight.

Personally, at least, I would very much welcome this change for the final levels of the game and am looking forward to it. I was hoping that you would finally be forced to fight for a longer time and a lot more opponents (unlike Mistlands).

The attacks on fuling villages were one of my favourite experiences on the first playthrough and I thought it was a shame that the game was over after that and Mistlands haven't brought this back - I have high hopes for real war on this continent.

Until Plains (and first time swamps maybe), the game was a walk in the park and Mistlands isn't really difficult either - admittedly the queen is at least the first challenging boss for solo/melee.

Once you have mastered the combat system and the parry/dodge mechanics, you will have a much easier time - especially in full gear/food (with a few exceptions of some 1/2-star entities in higher biomes). Don't forget to learn "when to" use bonemass as a melee fighter.

Always stay rested.
When entering a new biome, leave during night till you have geared up.

If you need inspiration for high-level melee/solo-play, check out the videos from “Sitting Forgetting”:

I haven't watched his Ashland-Vids now to avoid most of the spoilers, but I'm sure he hasn't problems at all. Just take a look.

Didn't know you're here too.

Let me take a moment to thank you for your speer throw over the leg of the Seeker soldier. Made my life with 2 star soldiers a lot easier back then. Good work.

This is spiritually and morally incorrect, as well as factually. Some of us already have Fader down solo.

Then you will have a lot of fun in the Ashlands ^^. And yes raid a fuling camp is so much fun and i love the sound of them all.

Always be rested. everytime. If there's one thing i've learned it's to be well prepared or at least to do everything possible to be prepared. Unforeseeable things happen anyway, but that's part of the game.

I have already seen one or two videos of @SittingForgetting including "Ashlands storm at night" or something similar. Was a recommendation from YouTube.
What should i say?! Madness. He has practiced :)

Yeah, run forest. If it weren't for the problem with stamina sometimes.
So if you have already a good skill you don't want to lose it again so quickly i understand that. So i have turned the death penalty to a minimum.

tame the 1 star. you dont wanna find 2 x 2stars. they are stupid rare on defaults. you just need 1. then you wait for that quality 3 egg to get a 2nd 2 star. then get rid of the 1 star.

but the tameing aint needed to play the biome to begin with. its just another thing you CAN do. you can also breed 50 of them and just watch them bully the boss for you.

These were only 1-stars, but trivialized the final fight: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3261203369
