What's with the animated video?
What the heck does that... thing... have to do with Valheim? I've said that the development has gone astray, but THAT... thing... is the definition of the concept. Remember the old meme "image not related?" *sigh*

It's called advertising, duh. It was cool. Who cares.

It would be nice if it was advertising for the product they are actually selling, and not for a Saturday morning cartoon. What happened to actual in-game footage?

Was looking at this, but graphics aren't like the vid, right? They didn't change anything, did they? Are there classes now? Like wizards and RPG stuff?
It's an awesome celebration of the release of the new zone that sums up it's spirit and gives a basic tutorial while withholding most spoilers.

For those who didn't mind seeing everything before they got there a game play trailer was released about two weeks earlier.

what video?

On sale page. I thought maybe new graphics? But no.

So nothing in vid is in game? How vid celebrate game if nothing in vid is game? LOL. Is awesome if kissing sister is awesome.

No, NOTHING in the video is in the game. AT ALL. It's just a cartoon fantasy, probably at the expense of QA.

Of course, maybe they are going to get an anime spin-off? Wouldn't be the first time, would it?

I hate it. I do watch and play anime movies/series and games but I first have to overcome my dislike of the style. However it has absolutely nothing to do with this game - neither the look nor the feel.

I found this topic via search just before posting a topic myself. Just ugh.

Dev team didn't draw these cells out themselves brah. It's a third party.

And the animated series features elements from the game ... in cartoon format.

It's not that difficult to come to terms with, really.

YO, when I saw the video I thought to myself "wow cool, they are supporting someone else." ... Giving them reach, exposure... like a shoutout? IT IS ART.

Tf you mean "that thing" and "not related"?
You just sound like you hate animation. The Ashlands animation is actually pretty spot on with what you will be doing in the Ashlands. Most of your time will be spent fighting hordes of charred archers and bone guys while using the battering ram to bust down fortress walls.
