Valheim
build a bridge or ...
I found it difficult to build a bridge over this large river leading to the black forest. Kept having range issues, so I raised the ground a bit to anchor my bridge frame.
Then I thought, why am I building a bridge? So I just raised ALL the land and I walk across that now.
Will the river ever wash out my landbridge?

The landbridge will remain until you take it down with a pickaxe.
I cant describe it very intelligently but no, land/water terrain in valheim comes in layers, it doesnt work like that. You can see the layers if you pickaxe/shovel(mod) your way through the middle of the land and have height limits removed, you will hit water
There are a few new enemy in ashlands and (unclear) possibly that means you could get raided by them (I don't know yet) that can destroy terrain. Nothing else can. (well, your pickaxe can, but that isnt important to say, is it?)

->The reason you build a complicated bridge is to sail a boat under it. Its difficult to build a long bridge, you are proably limited to less than 50 floor tiles or so without a ground anchor, and that just barely ... there is that one red gap where the tiles will break when attached to either side but will stay if you can connect both sides before they do... that is your extreme limitation and its just slightly (1-2) tiles more than the total you can get with 2 disconnected strips. V physics is linear, so the shape isn't important... you don't get more support from a correct arch etc ... what is important is the number of ways it gets back to ground, and how far that is, and what materials you used. So twice this:

Oh wow, now that's a much bigger bridge than I can build. Maybe after I tackle more of this creepy forest and the nasties that all gang up on me, I can build something like that.

You've got a bit of a ways to go. That bridge is made with wood-iron beams, which you won't get access to until you have access to Iron from crypts in the Swamp (you can find small amounts of it above-ground in the swamp, but it's pretty difficult to locate) and said crypts can't be opened until you get the Black Forest biome's boss drop.

There's no erosion mechanic in this game.
In fact, I can't think of a single game that has that.
So, I'm not sure why you'd think that's a thing in Valheim.
