Signs are unreadable at night
All of the different light sources are useless at night for reading signs, can we get alternate signs, material/colours, anything that gives us readable signs?

You need a flame torch to illuminate them at night. Use a mod which perma keeps them alight!
We had them a while back. They could be made to look like neon signs. The devs removed the ability to use font color tags because it wasn't thematic to the period.

Perhaps you could wall mount some glowing mushrooms right next to them.

Yeah, it is a bit concerning that they take away features players enjoy.

You can use colors.
Type “<color=white>”. When you close the bracket, the code will disappear, but your text color will be changed.
You can use RGB codes. The devs patched out the bloom effect in October, though. White still works okay.
