Cartography table : old pins back.
Hi all !
I'm the kind of Viking that wants to explore all the map and I loved to put pins on map for a lot of things.
But now my map is full... And ugly. So I erased a lot of useless pins (it's hard to admit but I don't care to know where all those Burial chambers are).
So yeah, my map is pretty !

YET !
I'm playing with someone and we have the cartography table. No problem if I save my data then the other copy them.
PROBLEM : If I copy his data... All my past pins are back, and not in grey. In white, like they were.

I destroyed the table, created another : nothing. I erased my old pins and they are back again if I copy data of the other player...
Can you help me ?

How does that work? I tried using the table between two character and it would not show any pins made by the other.

Does the other player have those old pins removed as well?
Because if (s)he hasn't, the moment (s)he uploads his / her map to the table, they'll appear there again.
Which means, the moment you load the new discoveries from the table, all your old pins are showing up at your map as well.

Best solution:

You upload the new map, the other player only "download" the map and doesn't upload any finds.
Then you both check your maps if your pins are visible for both of you.
If not, both can upload new markers again.
If they are, your friend shouldn't upload his / her map until he / she has a similar looking map as you do.

There are actually two points to activate the map.
The part holding the map is where it shows all pins found at your map, as well as that of others if they're uploaded.
There's also a small part with something holding a pencil or brush. If you activate that one, you will upload your discoveries to the map.

With two players, it's best to have one person "upload" the markers on his / her map; then have the second player look at the map to get all markers from both persons available in his / her map; before using the pencil / brush to upload his / her discoveries to the map.
After that, the first player should check the map on the table again to get the same discoveries listed as player #2.

Thorin's solution works. That's what my wife and I do while teaming and it works as described.

Yeah no idea why it did not work the first time. You have two options:
- Record Discoveries
Which shows where you have been and is suppose to show pins.
- Read the map
Which downloads what the other players recorded.

I think I figured out how to upload the pins, I checked the box "visible to other players"?
I think it is off by default for PVP reasons?
