Poison arrows and stay away is the easy mode. You can do a fight and never get attacked once.
I'm always repulsed in killing this poor disabled creature that just sits there and takes my arrows.
And I only have one thing to say to people that complaining with "it is our free time", Why are you then playing games to begin with? It is a choice you made, not the devs. If your "free time" doesn't fit into a game's vision, then don't play that game. Game devs do not make games specifically for your "free time".
Just raise few pillars of earth and use them as cover and have 2 bows with lots of arrows
That's basically enough to repair your bow and get you a rested (the lowest level, but still better than nothing) bonus.
All you need to do is to make the sacrifice, enter the trench and fire arrows at her; while occasionally dodging her frost breath.
If you're already in the fight, try to lure her to an Ice-cave. You can retreat into the cave to heal up and regain stamina, just to fight her again once you're patched up.
If all of that doesn't work;
make sure you can use the Dev-commands.
Press [F5], followed by devcommands + [enter] + debugmode + [enter]
When that's done, all you need to do is press [K] when you're close to Moder and she'll gone forever.
Giving you the opportunity to prepare the area and fight her with a different strategy next time.
Thorin :)
I mean, when first attempting them, not in direct comparison to each other if you do them with later game gear etc.
I went to cheese it and dig a hole under the lip of the summon platform to shoot out from but shooting arrows out from there looked like it would take too long after the first few. So I jumped out and just stabbed every time it landed with sword/shield combo. Blocks nearly all the damage. Only mild annoyance was when some wolves and golem joined in, should have started the fight at dawn.
No. Its a skill issue or you're using the wrong equipment. Moder is rather easy to beat- if you know how.
Make sure you've got the right gear and proper skills for that biome and for moder.
Use the right weapon. You should know which one to use if you're in the mountains on a regular basis and therefore learned how to fight dragons.
Also: prepare your ground before starting the fight.
Haven't you learned how to craft other arrow types yet?
Use your brain. Or the elements at least.
Dragons using ice to attack.
So what could be a good counter against ice?
A golem can also get killed by 3 hits using the right weapon.
So if one tactic doesn't work, or doesn't do much. Tey a different and check the difference.
But don't assert something was 'impossible' in this game, just because you haven't found a way to deal with it.
This game is all about rock, scissors and paper. Keep that in mind.
Moder is mid level at best.
200 obsidian arrows from a level 4 fang WILL kill moder unless your bow skill is like ZERO. thats just math. that sounds like you missed alot of shots to me.
these bosses ARE easy. this has nothing to do with skill. valheims bosses aside the queen all attack very very slowly compared to other games little reaction time is actually needed and each boss has like 3 attacks at best aside the queen. if you keep your distance moder has precisely TWO attacks she can do. TWO. and each one is only useable while she is either flying or on ground. this makes her attacks SUPER predictable even for an average player.
melee hit issue can be prevented by PREPAREING the enviroment before summoning the boss. which you should always do if you arent confident in your own player skills.
yes golems can be a pain during the fight. so can trolls during elder or a group of lox vs yagluth or a abomination during bonemass fight. but its nothing thats not manageable by just STAYING MOBILE. plus you can kite. moder has huge issues walking the mountain ai wise. when moder flys PAY ATTENTION TO HER. and avoid her attack which only occurs when she flys towards you and then STOPS midair.
if you used proper food and gear moder is easy. you already have a proper bow it seems. you didnt mention the rest of your kit so giveing advice on that is impossible.
if you follow ABR rule and have the right gear for the job youll win in valheim aslong as you dont try to stand your ground for no reason.
the golem gets stuck on any damn ledge on the mountain. RUN AWAY if one comes. dont stand your ground. keep distance. lose the golem and resume fight with boss.
dont fight at night. night spawns way more enemies and stronger enemies. no it doesnt take longer than than 21 minutes to kill moder with mountain gear. and thats how long a valheim day is. and you can fully control when you press the summon button.
the fight isnt impossible thats absolute hyperbole by you sorry. bonemass and the next 2 bosses are both more difficult compared.
