Failed to Connect!
I played few days with my friend on his server. Today when I try to connect to his server, game is throwing an error saying "Failed to connect". Anyone know a fix for this? In the Player logs, it has these logs,

"Got status changed msg k_ESteamNetworkingConnectionState_ProblemDetectedLocally"
"Got problem 5002:Cert failure: Cert request returned public/private key mismatch"

This happens to my wife and I sometimes. Here are things to check and fixes that have worked for us:

Updates to antivirus software can change your settings. Check and make sure that Valheim and your friend's server are still white listed.

Try to connect again. Packet loss and poor ping between you and the server can cause a fail to connect error. You can do a speed check using one of the free speed check services and see if your ISP is giving you the speed you are paying for.

You can use the command line and ping the server to see what your ping is, or you can trace route and see where the hops are occurring and where you have packet loss or poor ping. If you are getting stars on any of the hops and your ISP gives you the opportunity to change log in nodes switching to a node that is farther away may allow you to skip the hops that are causing the problem.

You can wait a few minutes and try again. Server updates and server maintenance are invisible to non-server owners and can take a few minutes to a few hours. If it takes longer than that let your friend know server rental places will often give extra time if there are extended periods of problems.

If you turned on a VPN between now and the last time you played you may want to turn it off again. That can help with ping and packet loss.

As a just in case, your friend's external IP hasn't changed?

I've believe we talked about this one on Discord right? Think Steam and Valheim re-installation fix the problem.
