Tasty meads are great when you are plating lots of crops especially when you consider they have no cool down.

When I did all the planting and animal husbandry in a 4 player game I used them frequently.

It's the only tasty brew too.

m8 what farts are you sniffing...lets say you have 150 stamina, you plant your crops, then you drink the thing, ok instead of waiting for 7 seconds, you wait for 3 seconds....
for that you go out and harvest stuff to brew the brew ? nonsense.

The alternative stamina regen brews are way better in that regard.
No, what happens here is dumb design. This brew would actually make sense if it lasted for much longer. It would fit a situation where you dont want to be in a combat for a while and just build, farm, explore, run away, whatever....
but for 10 seconds ??? ahahahahha, epic troll devs :emofdr:

The item is actually primarily used as a decoration.

The other types of stamina meads aren't available early game and I never had to go out to purposely find the materials for them. I always had a surplus. I made my planting rows in each particular base the length of a stamina bar, when I got to the end, I'd drink the tasty mead, and turn to start the next row, and my stamina bar was full and ready to go again.

If you don't want to use them that's fine but they are available for anyone that wants to use them.

I use quite a few of them on bosses and they are pretty good. I am not sure why you would think they are bad, considering they have 0 cooldown (or 10 seconds if you will) and don't block any other potion - including the other stamina based ones, which have 2 or 5 minutes cooldown and grant way less stamina overall in longer fights due to that (tasty can grant ~1/3 or more of your stamina bar per sip). They are just a bonus, with the only downside being the short drink animation and less HP reg. You can stack them on anything else you want to use and use them alongside the "way better" stamina brews.

I especially use them a lot on my archer in multiplayer on boss battles, though I have more like 200 stamina in those cases of course and not 150. I have of a default chest full with those usually, but not all my character actually use them a lot. Some used like half a stack in their life time (mostly the hp focused ones). I still remember when I finished Yagluth with those, because my rested buff ran out since I engaged too late after resting. They basically replaced the rested buff entirely for stamina, since they are as strong.

They are also an additional reason why Eitr based dps is not that great in longer fights compared to short burst ones.

Tasty Mead is a great item. Even late game they are a spectacular adjunct item. I always carry a stack, along w/ the usual pots. No CD, doesn't block out health/stam pots, stacks with the stam regen flask, easy and cheap to craft. And you get them in early game.

Great for farming, boss fights, and climbing high terrain (ML or Mount). Especially if your usual food load-out doesn't give a lot of stam.

They're a proactive item in combat; use them before you need a panic stam pot.

i agree, having some meads in your pocket is a nice little refresh boost when you run around.
also handy for training, farming or climbing a mountain

for stamina to regenerate and thus to benefit from this mead, you have to do nothing or only walk...tell these fairy tales to someone else.

It seems like its purpose is to speed up chores (since you wouldn't want to lose the health regen in a boss fight). So this could definitely be an adjunct to Eikthyr when hauling ore around. Run twice as far, walk half as much, run twice as far... that actually sounds pretty sweet.

But it's quite a high cost. Unless I'm bursting in berries I'd probably want to save them for queen's jam, deer stew, healing/stamina mead, etc.

Oh wait, only 10 second duration? Yeesh, I can't think of anything I'd be impatient enough to get done that fast to burn that much for. I would really want it just for when I'm waiting for stamina mead cooldown to wear off, and the health regen penalty means I'd definitely need to chug healing mead to offset. Definitely weak.

10 seconds duration is why the health regen penalty does not matter much. It is useful in boss fights.

10 seconds is enough to completely refill your stamina bar its not that hard to avoid damage (and the health regen penalty) for those 10 seconds.
ling.speed Dec 4, 2023 @ 9:08pm
Yeah 10s is a boon, only mead you can spam. If the cost wasnt so much berries it would be quite useful.

Its effectiveness isnt that big when you have rested buff, but for times you run out and cant reapply (storm, monsters around, overtime work etc) its great.

Oh, good point, if you're in stamina mead cooldown you're probably backing away from the boss anyway, so tastey mead would be a good supplement. 10s regen instead of 2s is slow but viable. Though if my stamina fully regened before it wore off I'd be hesitant to charge back into battle.
Funny that for combat, short duration is a benefit instead of a problem.

While you can use it in boss fights, I personally only use it when I'm getting ganged up on and cant regen enough stamina fast enough to fight back and my stamina potion is on cooldown. You know, things like you have 2 fulings and 2 deathsquitoes on you or the swamp tries to overrun you or similar,
