Quick stack to nearby chests when?

the devs said many times they wont want this kind of automation. they wont go beyond what you can currently do as anything else would undermine storage management and building a proper organized storage. so it would remove that aspect of the game and base building.

It would also undermine the need for bigger chests as you could build walls upon walls of cheap tiny chests and have your things automatically sorted in wherever.

Quick stack and automatically sorted are different thing tho, and bigger chest is less physical space so bad argument imo, for this case.

Though, automating a lot of ♥♥♥♥ is not something i would except from vanilla valheim. i'd just shove mods in.

Quick_Stack_Store_Sort_Trash_Restock by Goldenrevolver is a mod I use in single player. A single button press sends all your loot into the corresponding chests. No more need for a "dump bin" to sort later.

Yeah modders have been running circles around irongate. For free. Meanwhile devs cling to "their vision" at the expense of qol and ux for the people who love and play their game the most. Honkhonk
