Jack o Turnips under the ceiling

I can mount the things on the ceiling, but after about 2 seconds the light goes out. what am I doing wrong? They work well on the ground. and also on the wall.

Probably because they act like a torch and need some clearance or else it'll go out is my guess

Smoke inhalation does not a fire good any more than it does you :)

that could be true. Then there would be the option of not having to hang the things from the ceiling.

its smoke for sure. let it out by making a small gap, and it will stay lit.

So there is no smoke at the Jack O Turnips. Why can you hang these things from the ceiling if they don't work? Where should I leave a gap in a roof if I don't want it to rain in there? but it does not matter. We have now found a solution to metalize our warehouse and be able to see the signs even at night without a personal lamp.
