Eggs look great as decoration (on vertical bronze nails) but otherwise getting them to base is not really useful. To smelt black metal you first have to use the eggs :)
If you look up during the day the huge green branch you see stretching across the sky is also from Norse myth as is the Norse Easter egg that you might see if you are looking up during a thunderstorm.
There are also other Easter eggs from Norse myth that you will find in the game (but you'll only really recognize them if you have read and are familiar with Norse myths).
The dragon's eggs have a game purpose and they can also be used as low level light source for decoration if you place them on an item stand.
The hooded guy does nothing besides let you know you might encounter more than one enemy up ahead. essentially he's like a warning that "There could be trouble" but its not always accurate.
Thor appears after killing the 4th. During Storms, simply watch for ball lightning.
Not explored much of the mistlands, but I've not seen much of anything about Loki, other than one lorestone detailing what he did during the war.
Same here. The group I play with will usually call out "Hey Odin" and that's about enough time for him to mysteriously vanish.
