Recommend me some mods please.
I've completed the game twice, back when it came out and again a few months ago.
I wanna go back in but I want some good mods that add QoL and new experiences to the game. New Animals, etc.

Check out Therzie's Warafare, Monstrum and Armory. It adds new weapons and armor tied to progression and "monstrum" add monsters for each biome with new bosses up to swamp.

The warfare mod is 3 parts the last 2 part is for Ashland and DeepNorth. Yes he finished the game :D

For QOL depends on what you're looking for, there's "food customizer" which you can tweak almost all food (add hp, eitr) and even remove food buffs decay.

For me the "discard or recycle inventory items" is something that I always download together with "adventure backpack."

The aformentioned mods are great, here's my picks also;

RtD Biomes changes how the game looks (to the better I think). It also introduces new plants and trees. There is a mod for oceans and one that adds some monsters also from RtD (readytodie).

There are several NPC mods that make the game less empty. If you clear villages villagers will spawn in. (Like valandrielsmadnpcs).

Epicloot adds legendary items that drop from many different enemies. It's fairly well balanced too. You will not find endgame weapons on easier foes. They are mostly tied to the biome. E.g Leather in dark forrest and silver in the mountains. Highly recommended. It let's you disenchant/enchant all your gear too.

Finally there are the animal mods from Marlthon named seaanimals, airanimals and landanimals. Self-explanatory, adds elephants, sharks and many other animals.

But if you run npc's and animals without disabling certain aspects your game will slow down. It can't handle too many moving creatures at all times.

I'll keep that in mind.
Biomes and Animals are quite interesting.
I'll give them a try. Thank you for your suggestions!

I'm not quite a builder myself but my friend loves building. I'm sure he'll appreciate the mod more than I.
These are wonderful selections. Thank you!

Added those and I found a mod called "Equip Wheel". It's really good!
Thank you for your suggestions.

I installed Warfare and Armory from Therzie. they worked for a day and then the game would no longer load. a Unity screen which wasn't there on the first day I think would pop up and nothing would happen. when I uninstalled the mods the game runs fine again.
what you think?
Kentathor Oct 5, 2023 @ 8:59am
Did you use a mod manager or installed it manually? The mod manager is the easiest and most troublefree in my opinion.
Kentathor Oct 5, 2023 @ 8:59am
You need bepinex loader and jotunn etc to be able to run some mods too.
I personally use Jewelcrafting over EpicLoot because The Jewelcrafting mod fits the theme of Valheim. You're playing a survival crafting/building sim...not an mmo or arpg.

Also there's Southsil Armor, Hugo's Armory, infinity Hammer, Plant Everything, Item Stand All Items, and Perfect Placement.

You should also think about increasing the difficulty via world modifiers or using the CLLC mod because the jewelcrafting mod with southsil armor and hugo's armory will make you OP.
