Can't get item spawn to work

First, not trying to cheat per se. I had almost a full stack of bronze arrows despawn after I dropped them fighting The Elder. Just fought off three troll attacks on my base, and I am out of feathers; therefore also out of arrows.
I have console enabled. I entered "devcommands" (no quotes). type in "spawn Feathers 20" (no quotes) and all that happens is what I just typed gets highlighted.
What am I doing wrong?

just shoot some shorebirds like the rest of us. yeesh they sit on the ground and dont move when it rains.. it even says that in the tips when you log in.

Aha! The enter on the keypad doesn't work! If I use the one on the keyboard, no problem.

you can shot birds even when it doesnt rain. there is no reason to cheat in feathers therefore. you can always make wodden arrows aswell. they only need wood.

and troll raids can only happen with a 20% chance every 46 minutes. and you can block them out with a moat or earthwall permanently. or build on on an island.

Unless you have a lot of bronze, using them for arrows is not very efficient for your time, but everyone plays differently. Wood arrows, are good enough if you dont have feathers.

Anyway, glad you worked out how to spawn items in.

Also, if you have a harpoon, you can get bird feathers and not spend any arrows.

I do a lot of mining (when the trolls aren't puppy guarding the ore deposits) so I have plenty of bronze. Actually, first things I used iron for were an iron mace and iron tip arrows. With a fully upgraded finewood bow and iron tip arrows, I can one-shot a Draugr from sneak. And that upgraded iron mace is pretty effective against them too. Want that mace up to max level before I go up against Bonemass.

You can one shot a draugr from sneak, from rear with flint arrows too, probably with wood ones. If you are far enough away you can one shot starred ones. Make the next bow asap with iron. Upgrading your benches is more important than anything else, then round iron shield then weapons, That shield is a big upgrade for parrying, then some make armor, though heaven only knows why. And the sledge. With the sledge you interrupt Bonemass and quicken the fight a lot. Or not.

Dig a moat, build earth wall, ignore trolls.
