Parrying, crowd control, 1 on 1 combat, stamina usage etc.

They're two different types of weapons. Krom doesn't really do crowd control, but the himmin afl is not going to be nearly as effective in 1 on 1 (at least for strong enemies).

I prefer mistwalker and shield for most combat, and himmin afl for crowd control / AOE. I haven't found a reason to make krom. I think mistwalker is slightly more effective in mistlands due to the elemental damage, and krom is overkill for the lower biomes.

I tried a run using polearms as my primary weapon, and it's the only one that I gave up half way through. I just didn't like using polearms as my primary weapon and couldn't see it getting any better. (YMMV)

I've found Krom to only be useful against the Queen. My gotos are Mistwalker and Frostner. Frostner is legit OP and looks really cool.

Himmin afl staggers without needing to parry, and is made for crowd control. It's not as great for stamina usage or one on one. If you're up on a rock and don't want to share with a seeker, it will knock it down before it knocks you down. It has a better chance of smacking ticks when they jump around like crazy.

I haven't used Krom, but I will switch to the Mistwalker for one on one. It slices up seekers reasonably fast.

For soldiers, I look for high ground and take out my bow. Takes a long time, but I'm not agile enough to get behind them.

I usually carry Himmin afl while walking around because it will fend off surprises. Then when I see what I'm dealing with I'll switch to whichever makes sense. I don't just rely on one weapon in Mistlands.

OK I get it. Himmin afl an improvement of the Crowd control as other have said UNLESS pure damage is your bag. The Black metal Atgir still edges it on that I believe.

Krom is interesting, more raw damage but unless your hunting Abominations (which is what I use mine for) I'd give general utility slightly to the Himmin afl

Does the krom have its own levelable skill or does it fall under swords
