Boss Fights
I feel like bosses in this game are either insanely easy or way too difficult. It is also frustrating trying to fight a tanky boss like Moder while I'm getting harassed by golems and drakes.

moder is a cakewalk just use poison arrows, (about 170 should do it,) and your best bow and make sure to stick to the peaks of the mountains to avoid stone golems being able to climb up to you and set up a spawn area in a rock cave somewhere near so you can rest and respawn if needed.

my issue with moder was a random golem that was sprint agrod and only doing the power attack.

took a wolf hunt to kill him because you can't parry or block his attacks when he was broken like that but the wolves back attacked him and stunned him and killed him lol.

That's why you clean the area around boss altars before summoning them. Kill all the mobs, then put down campfires to prevent respawns.

Assuming this is solo player, every Forsaken combat site can be prepared to give you as many advantages as possible. For Moder, digging a channel below and around her altar can provide an area to retreat to from her ice attacks. Players have also raised terrain columns for similar protection and as @chewer advised always visit the area just before the fight to clear as many adds that can spawn as possible. Even with poison arrows or fire arrows using a Draugr Fang (and getting some poison effect) Moder can be a long fight and some adds may still wander in that you couldn't block. For the Elder, Bonemass and Yagluth, building a terrain perimeter around the combat area can likewise help block those adds and having workbenches littering the area even gives the Forsaken a diversionary target while likewise blocking spawns.

given you cannot prepare the combat site for the queen the first sentence is simply not true.

that beeing said i disagree with the tc. all bosses in this game are really easy if youre probaly prepared and dont try to facetank them. rest are all skill issues really.

Yeah but you don't have worry about random wandering mobs walking in on you either.

In addition, never tried this but is it not possible to put down a campfire in the Queen's vestibule? If so, you can at least somewhat prepare every boss' combat site ...

ps: Really like your user name. Brings back memories of one of the best games I ever played oh so long ago ...

You can't put a workbench in the Infested Citadel but you can still plant fires and wisp torches but point well taken regarding combat engineering. We probably should assume that from The Queen through the last of the Forsaken will likely be teleport travel to their lairs. So instead of preparing the site we have to prepare ourselves and there can be nearly infinite responses on how best to do this.

Moder is about prepping the area, more annoying than adds is when Moder lands on a tree or high ledge. So I just flatten all trees and cover that can get in the way.

Quick work with a pickaxe will turn a steep grade into an impassible cliff which will keep all wolves and golems out. But make sure Moder still has enough room to land or she could go somewhere inconvenient. I have seen her land directly on the altar though, especially if I'm under it. Leveling or raising ground can help if your fighting arena has very little space around it.

Still have to mess with drakes though. Put campfires next to any close nests. There may be invisible spawners around though.
