Not the same as Valheim, more like Don’t starve, but still Viking themed survival game.
I was also like you trying to find something similar to Valheim and found that one. Played it for a week or two and came back here.
But its not completely VIKING, just feudal ages.
Called LIFE IS FEUDAL.
or
Conan Exiles.
Same issues, not a viking game, but got the posibility to look like one. And is survival/base building.
Life is Feudal is quite different and you probably won't like it. It used to be MMO but as far as I know they closed it down and left single player version available for download (or buy.)
Conan Exile is okay but it has different system, you gonna need to go catch slaves and manage them, also it does not have procedurally generated map, after a while it gets boring.
Just pray that Irongate will cancel Mistland and bring better lands to explore. HAHA
Tribes of Midgard is totally different too. I think it is more like a tower defense game.
The MMO english version shut down. You can play the MMO in china with vpn.
The standalone 64 player/server version is the one still alive and available on steam. Its not singleplayer, tho you can do that if you want.(dont advice it, game is not meant to be played single).
Many servers available, though hardly any reach 40+ players nowadays. Most are 10ish players per server.
Tho to make 1 thing clear. the appeal of Life is Feudal is the grind/building. IF you like grinding, you will be doing it all day. ANd maybe the PVP that can be lacking with few players.
It is clunky in its own ways but years and years of content have been kind to it. Their is a lot more of virtually everything and it allows you to tweak a ridiculous number of settings for a more tailored journey. I'm not just talking about damage or drop rates but also movement speed, gravity etc. But you can also just choose a preset if that sounds long.
It has a handcrafted world rather than a procedurally generated one, which some might think to be a negative, but when it comes to variety Conan wins without contest.
It can feel a lot more hardcore in multiplayer and it is easy to see how it can be a turn off. It is one of those games where someone can stab you and steal your pants while you are not logged in.
You can wishlist it on Steam right now. I’m excited but I’m going to wait and see how the reviews look a week or two after launch.
I've played since it dropped and never seen a bug in the game outside of something very minor. Sounds like a skill issue.
Good for you
Yesterday they just announced and released the site for it.
LIF MMO the one i mentioned that was shut down, will relaunch with a 20$ sub fee to boot.
:)))) personally dont recommend it, but i twanted to mention it.
