You'll need to acquire the server's world file, then use the single-player world selection menu to select that world, click the button to adjust world settings, then put the world file back on the server. It's not perfect, but it's better than having to restart an entire world.
“Player based raids” is one of the best options added and it can greatly help new players on older servers.
However, if that new player decides to skip bosses but use their powers or some of the items that can be acquired only by defeating a boss, he will unlock raids too.
Still not sure does this apply to all or just for worlds with “player based raids” option enabled.
We need better patch notes!
first off :
hildir raid events are triggered by GIVEING HILDIR THE RESPECTIVE CHEST. NOT KILLING THE MINIBOSS.
since you can only hand hildir these chests once PER WORLD you trigger these for everyone if raids are active no matter what even if player based raids is enabled.
since its not possible for other players to hand the chests in again anymore on that world they would never be able to get the raids otherwise.
second off :
killing the main bosses triggers events. NOT HANGING the trophies at the circle. this applys if you play with default settings. the default conditions for raid triggers DID NOT GET CHANGED AT ALL in this update thats common missinformation.
HOWEVER : if player based raids is enabled. AND ONLY THEN. . these changes only apply to the toggle "player based raids" which is pretty much only ever useful in multiplayer to begin with. then conditions are now different to some degree.
just one example : if the toggle is active and a bonemass or higher boss trophy hangs at the circle and a new player on the server GETS THE POWER from them or gets and uses iron tools or anything that requires iron or higher they WILL get "the ground is shakeing" even if they didnt defeat the elder yet.
there are different conditions for raid triggers but ONLY under the setting "player based raids" otherwise the conditions are unchanged.
hildir raids arent affected by the toggle due to the trigger not beeing the boss KILL but giveing hildir the respective chest.
hope this clears things up.
Thanks man, this actually really helped. I play a few servers and I do not think turning in the chests currently gives anything worthwhile. Killing the bosses is fun though. Being able to do the dungeons, kill the bosses, and not get the raids is a big help! Maybe one day turning in the chests will give better rewards than only cosmetic, and make it worth the risk. The chests do make cool decorations though if put on an item stand.
Perfectly.
Thank you!
