Draw the enemy away from your tombstone, bait them into attacking to slow them for a moment, and sprint to your tombstone and loot it all. You'll receive a buff for 50 seconds that reduces damage taken by 75%, reduces stamina costs of running and jumping by 75%, heal for 10 health per second, and increase carry weight by 150. Use that buff to stay alive while you equip your gear, and then kill whatever killed you.
For that matter, you gain the "no skill loss" buff for 10 minutes after you respawn after dying; just go punch it in the face and die again until one of you gives up.
Or maybe just snag your stuff and take off running; the "corpse run" buff you get from taking your items out of the death marker is a huge stamina reduction. If you ate some stamina food before running back naked, you should be able to sprint for a considerable distance after you pick your stuff back up.
As a player with over 1000 human hours evaluating this title[and counting!], I can only say that you need to be totally prepared before you go out exploring. To this end, a 2nd set of armor and weapons is indeed needed to re approach your gravestone... Also, even a ranged weapon could perhaps help in retrieving your loot...running naked and fighting is not the best solution; your continual dying validates how rough and mean this title can be on unprepared players. "Rested", proper food to get enough HP/Stamina are needed, always and need to be kept track of.
Valheim in, indeed, a 'brutal' survival game....and you need to be really prepared BEFORE you head out.
Good luck!
Some people warned me that sometimes it´ll be just impossible to get the stuff back - so be it...
Or you can do a naked grab and dash. With nothing in your inventory, it takes only a single click to get your stuff back. If it's not a wolf or a deathsquito you can probably outrun it. Archers are harder, so stay behind tree cover as much as you can.
If something is standing right next to the tombstone, watch and wait for awhile in sneak mode. Chances are good that it will start walking around. (If it's a skeleton, it might start attacking something else which is even better.)
To help prevent tombstone camping in the future, don't run right up to the mobs, always make them run to you instead. They like to stay close to their spawn area, so if you don't pull them too far away from it, they will usually go back there. They do not intentionally camp tombstones. You just happened to die in their front yard.
