It's not a 1-hander, but it uses "club" skill.
No shield in the Mistlands pretty means death. This is still unfair.
frostner still gets the job done in the Mistlands
I still use Frostner of course. Nice freeze, nice knockback, but so low damage to Mistlands insects.
I don't fully agree, what saves you are his side effects, freezing and knockin an enemy back is good, but the damage is so low
I did 3 mines and plenty beside with frosner so while the damage is low, it WILL get the job done. I do suggest training swords (if needed) and getting Mistwalker. that thing just EATS seekers and you can keep your shield.
If it really bothers you to not have a weapon of each type, there is a mod by Smoothbrain called "GapFiller" that adds in appropriate weapons (with appropriate damage, crafting, and stamina costs) of each tier to fill in the gaps in vanilla weapon progression. We are now using it in our high difficulty, heavily modded playthrough, and it is very well done and fits in with other weapons of each tier perfectly.
its not "unfair" it was about time mace got thier deserved "timeout" it was the only weaponclass you could use form the start all the way till now and it never skipped a tier till now. so now it got its break like ALL other weapon types had aswell at some point.
ashlands for certain will have a new mace again.
And?
look for a mod if you want a God Tier weapon. Its not about 1 shotting things, its about fighting using tactics and guile, not brute force.
The sleadge is as good as a silver shield (upgreaded) for blocking. And you dont really need that much block anyways, as long as you eat well, due to diminishing returns of armor values when damage is less than two times the block.
if you try to parry 2 star seekers, then yeah, shields are needed, but for everyting else...
