Do anglerfish respawn?

So, I dunno how it even happened but catching anglerfish is now my new favorite Val pastime. It kinda carried me away and I happened to fish out a small bay area completely -- both male and female. That must have been about 30-50 game days ago. Since then, no anglerfish reappear in the bay.
Is this working as intended and is anglerfish supposed to be a finite resource or what do me fellow vikings think might be happening?

(Local world created after mistlands had dropped, but well before 0.213.4 came out with all of its fishing tweaks.)

Yes... if you come back they should be in that spot again.. did you put up a crafting bench in the area or anything? I usually have a route I follow when I fish.. and every few days I do that route and the fish are always there even if I caught them all previously.

Don't leave any spawn stopping structures in the immediate area (bench, bed, camp fire, chest etc etc). As a general rule of thumb 6 x 4m core wood poles back from the bay should be ok.
