Why no 2Hand swords
There are at least 10 mods out there that can offer 2 Handed Swords
nothing too fancy, 2hands like Iron Greatsword that requires 20 iron etc

I really don't understand why the devs are not adding that...

On top of the slow updates, it just feels like pure lazyness right there...

There is a two handed sword in the game. Not knowing that is pure laziness right there...

Still a valid point, there's only one 2-hander sword and it's an endgame item. Game is in fact quite inconsistent regarding 2-hander availability throughout all the tiers. Hope this aspect gets some balancing further down the line.

a 2nd 2handed sword is comeing with ashlands. some weapon classes simply become available later rather than earlier. which is normal for most weapon classes btw.

you can also not start the game with a sword. must get bronze atleast before you can make one. that can take awhile too.

some weapons skip some biome progression aswell. this holds true for any weaponclass so far.

tc is obiviously either new or trolling with this post tough.
There is a 2hander sword, but it's not as good as you'd hope. That is if you just prefer stabbing with it instead.

I wouldn't say for every tier, but i'd definitely like if iron had one. Sort of how they did it with the battle axe. Or if anything, make it be made with ymir flesh and iron. Make 2handed swords unique.

Yes. There is a two handed sword, and it came out when? ... In the last UPDATE.

It's fair to want faster updates, but have you actually played the current content through to get the existing two-handed sword?

It's not fair to call the devs lazy because they made design choices that you disagree with.

There are many new weapon variations that get added later in the game (the two handed axe, two handed sword, two handed knife combo, elemental attacks, and, of course, magic, which is more controversial than two handed weapons).

Do you really think it would take any real effort to add a two-handed sword earlier in the game if they thought it would make the game better?

im a game designer myself and i know lazy when i see it.

No it wouldnt have taken much effort just to add 1 or 2 2hand weapons.
No need to be early game

And yes it would have made the game better.

i really don't see your point.

Because its not thematic with the Vikings the game is based around in the earlier eras. Bronze took too much work and was too valuable to make such a large weapon out of. (IRL a copper ore deposit is only about 1% copper). That's why the Romans used short swords and spears.

Early iron age the iron was too brittle to make large weapons. 2 handed swords didn't come into use until the blast furnace was invented and they still took lots of work from skilled artisans.

Piercing damage from a 2 handed sword is mostly cinematic not historical. They could be used by heavily armored soldiers against horse charges from light cavalry but most of the damage was slashing and it took a very strong soldier to wield one. Pole arms (like the billhook) were more versatile, cheaper to make, and easier to wield.

you didnt even understand what i meant. some weapon classes SKIP a biome TIER. like there is no plains bow.

there is no plains greataxe.

there is not atgier at gamestart. there is no atgier in the mountains.

you complain about lack of 2handed swords yet the new crossbow and magic also also new only in mistlands tier for now.

so nothing from i said was trolling. you simply didnt understand what i told you about.
