I think you can uncheck the "immersive camera" toggle in Misc settings tab and it will help for this too.

It was kind of bland but they may come up with something more exciting down the line.

If we could have Loxen "follow" us like wolves do (which I've used some mods for), yes. Sea Travel by Loxen Herd. Grab about ten loxen, ride one out to sea, and when it's stamina is too low, hop onto another one. Repeat as necessary and sail your herd to the next island.

I've done a few good long stints riding, tis fun. But yeah transporting by boat is the flaw here. On the islands I tamed and bred lox I enjoyed riding around but I'd rather not tame more and more just for the funs at different islands cause boat transport is nearly impossible when playing alone.

If boat transport or even portalling lox was possible that would increase their usage heaps for me

Has anyone seen the mod where fulings ride lox? They look like banthas and sand people. It's kinda cool.

I used the Teleport Everything mod to move a lone lox from one island to another after the rest of my herd was slaughtered by nighttime fulings. It joined my other lox in a meadow camp. Those I rode quite a distance through black forest to their new home. That's pretty much all the riding I've done.

I made an outpost in the blackforest next to a plains and swamp biomes. I rode my tamed lox through the swamp to the nearest sunken crypt. After dumping all the ore at the crypt entrance I walked out to my lox encumbered and rode my way back to base.

RIP if you run into a serpent. I've lost a boat-wolf or six to serpent aggro, I imagine Lox are the same. They jump ship to protect ya.

Did pass by a few of them doggy-paddling out in the middle of the ocean afterwards, though. Hilarious every time I passed by them.

Yeah I've done the same with 2 lox. Theres an epic story I wrote up how it all went to ♥♥♥♥ but recovered in the end with a baby calf.

Lox move around if they're not mounted and just walk off the boat. Like I said solo is really hard, it'd be nice if they made a stay command, or boat harness otherwise you need another player to mount it to keep it still.
