However, other as some visuals, the damage on the wood doesn't do much.
So you can use whatever you want to build that dock and enjoy it as much as you like.
Thorin :)
Fun fact, it does not happen to anything in the Furniture tab, either (tables, chests, chairs, etc.).
[EDIT] Not only wood, happens to Iron as well, I believe.
Didn't realize it was only 50%. I thought it would totally destroy it eventually... Sure wish I hadn't demolished it all now. D'oh.
As a follow-up, is there any way to build supports down from flooring? Because I can't figure out how and it's kinda frustrating. =-\
An upcoming patch (which could be months away still) might help with this, but not sure. This is why dev commands and mods that help with building are popular.
Also the puke green isn't exactly appealing :P
Outside of one or two mods, not any particularly easy way.
Though, as Suzaku said above, there is a patch in the works that essentially brings something like those mods' functionality into the vanilla game. Only question is when it'll be released.
(The mod I'm particularly thinking of is Snap Points Made Easy[valheim.thunderstore.io], if you're interested. Simply ignore if you're not.)
I'm playing on a server, so mods aren't really an option, but I do sincerely appreciate the thought and the link.
