Quality of Life for inventory management

Listen, man.

This is a fun game. But I am tired of spending 40% of my time organizing inventory, organizing chests, and managing items.
Things that would make me So, So Very Happy:
-One-click inventory/chest sort
-Build/craft from nearby containers
-One-click store inventory in nearby containers

I appreciate the larger stack size. That definitely helps. Additionally, having ONE MORE ROW of storage in the chests would also be great. These are the smallest chest sizes I've ever had in a game.

Usually, I play with mods to correct these issues, But when me and my friends play I don't want to force them to download tons of mods, so I just play vanilla, and the difference between what I spend my time doing in vanilla vs modded is a STARK difference.

I'm sure people are going to say "this is not realistic." Yeah I know, neither are trolls and greydwarves. What people spend the most time doing should be the BEST part of your game. I don't feel like moving items to and from chests is the best part of this game, by a long shot.

If these issues are already being corrected, please let me know, but as of right now it's really un-fun.

I am happy that you found mods that allow you to incorporate these features in your game but I would rather play without them.

For all I know, your friends feel the same way I do. If your friends were to chime in with something along the lines of "We would like these features but we don't want to download tons of mods," that would be one thing. As it stands though, it sounds more like you want to force the features you would like on everyone without regard to their preferences.

Have you even approached your friends about downloading your preferred mods?

I'm with you on the inventory management improvements

I'm not with you on the changes to chest / stack sizes

There is much that can be improved with how inventories are managed. Not auto-combining the same resource when you pull all items from a chest doesn't make sense. Why, if you have a 10-item stack of carrots and you pick up 2 carrots, that stack doesn't merge to 12 and instead sits as 10 and 2, makes no sense to me. Why would we intentionally store items in as inefficient a manner as possible?

Personally, i'd love to see a craft from containers addition made to the game, but fortunately the mods that address this are fabulous. Are your friends using Vortex? There should only be 2 mods required (not counting your funky inventory increase mod): Smart Containers and Craft From Containers.

You need Smart Containers to 'woosh' / auto-sort your stuff the correct chest and you need Craft from Containers for obvious reasons. Make them do it. MAKE THEM!
