I don't know either, maybe the one from the edible gummys eaten before playing the game?

putting <color=green> before the text in signs will make it glow neon green and all the other colors.

the game uses unreals* text engine which allows text editing.

All the effort I spent using floor and ceiling-mounted Dvergr circlets and other lighting schemes just so I could read my blasted signs at night... It annoys me a bit that I did not know about this.

NEAT! I gotta try this out; my biggest gripe about the game is that I have so much trouble seeing in darkness and low light, this sounds like a fantastic tool for me.

I thought this was true before last update. Will the new changes remove this feature?

supposedly they're removing it according to certain posts.

i bet it's not possible in beta or something and will be removed in the future and that's what this post is about.

currently, in the stable release it is still working.

ps i said unity before because both engines start with a "u" lol, it is unreal.

Yeah, the new part is that signs seem to stand out from far away, like the black is highlighted compared to ALL other in view assets. I have a feeling that is what they are removing but not disabling the text engine.... I hope!

A "magical sign" that we can craft with sap and wisp.
It can be the solution :p

If they remove it my workshop will become sad without all this colors.

You were right the first time - Valheim is built on the Unity engine.

since i have bad eyesight due to damaged nerves near the eyes, this feature needs to stay, or else all of the signs i have set up that i NEED to have so that i can see what chest has what item without having to spend minutes or even hours slamming my face onto the screen every odd second to read what the item is or to see the icon. PLEASE leave it in at LEAST for that reason.

I'm Visually impaired too. It makes mistlands all most unplayable and glowing signs are a huge help. It should be an accessibility option.

Sucks if they are going to remove it. First they removed the floating text, so I had to remake all the portal signs. And I just remade every sign into rich text, so that I can actually see the labels on my chests / portals. It doesn't seem to matter how much light I have, the signs near the floor are still indecipherable at night with the default text settings.
