Do you have any good seeds? Literally every seed I try is massive meadows and dark forests. I want a continent with meadows, dark forest, and swamp. With trader included.
Every seed I try even posted within the past few months on youtube turns out to not be what they are showing.
No just offline single player on xbox. Very simple to enter the seed correctly
is a very nice post mislands update seed. It has a large center island with all biomes except mistlands and ashlands. Several crypts in the swamps contain enough iron scrap for 2 players and the mountains contain enough silver deposits to outfit 2 players.
Haldor is on an adjacent island. The first and 3rd bosses are on the start island. The 2nd boss is an unfortunate distance away but the 4th boss is on an adjacent island. I haven't found Yagluth or the queen yet.
There is a very nice large flat spot for a huge base in the meadows that isn't too distant from the north or the south shore of the island to transport ore by ship and the boar stones are farther than 500 meters from the start location so you can find 2 star boars and still walk them back to your main base.
If you want a truly hideous seed as a challenge to start up use:
IHx7rIHIAL
The central island is all divided into pieces by rivers and steep valleys even the meadows. Every thing is a steep climb or a steep drop. 1 tiny mountain near the center. Copper and tin are all very far from the start point as are the dungeons that contains skeletons and your first few surtling cores. Only the first boss is near the start location and there is a small peninsula in the central sea that is just barely flat enough to support a small main base though access to it by water is excellent.
All the boar stones that are far enough from the start location to generate starred boars require swimming or sailing to reach and return. A true night mare from stone age all the way to silver. (Yeah, this is the seed I'm currently playing).
There is a reason why i call it "ResourceWorld" in my main menu. It's got a nice meadows patch bordered by black forest with plenty of crypts (But also unfortunately trolls.) Two mountains, one with two dragon eggs, close to the spawn. All bosses are close together northwest, with the Elder being north-northeast close to Haldor instead.
Northwest and southwest are also two swamps FULL of crypts. You'll be swimming in iron if you can get past the bronze age swarmed with trolls (Or import a veteran character for resource gathering purposes like i do all the time.)
And yes, it's post Mistlands.
that's Isle as in isle with a capital "i"
it has every boss relatively within a good distance to spawn that gives purpose to sailing at the swamp level, (it's not far just around Moders Island,) and then Moder has an Island has an entire mountain with all the necessities for defeating Moder, (the island is just a massive mountain to the southwest of spawn across the sea a little bit,) and the trader has the ability to spawn in 3 different locations really close to the spawn, one of which is preferred.
you can enter the seed into the world generator to get a look at it as well if you want.
A pretty large stretched island with both Eikthyr and the Elder at it.
A bit south passed a small river there's some plains and a swamp having Bonemass.
Moder is a bit to the West at a seperate island, which has Meadows, Black Forest, plains, swamp and of course a big mountain right in the center.
Yagluth is even more to the west, close to the coast; with his Island also having some swamp, meadows and black forrest, as well as a big mountain ridge.
And finally the Queen is found at several locations, but the best one is found in the North West, where she's very close to the coast, making it quite easy to set up a mistland base. And given that mistland area is pretty large as well, it won't be *too* hard to find the required cores.
Thorin :)
Huge starter island with all Bosses except Yagluth.
So unless the seed is not being explored enough to really see if it is the same as expected, giving him alternate seeds wont help. I had some frustrations getting the "seed" and "world" names confused when setting up a dedicated server and thought that might have been OP's problem, but if they are playing single player and not modifying the config file manually then the problem is different and maybe related to Xbox.
There are current problems with Xbox seed generation and they have a fix currently in the Public Test Branch. As an Xbox user are you capable of playing on the public test branch? If not I think the fix will go live early next week since it is causing alot of problems in crossplay when a PC players world is different form a Xbox world in multiplayer. They also said the fix will make current Xbox worlds change and were very apolgetic. So to avoid frustration dont go too far since your seed will change when the fix goes live anyways.
My main 2 seeds are Septerra and Xenosaga (Septerra seed the Bosses are spread out more and the Xenosaga seed the bosses are more clumped together)
i went to the website and just typed in names to see which world seed works best for me and the website is usually up to date with the current version of Valheim.
Not only that but there are some small variations even when you use the same seed.
I had a world once where I generated it and found a nice spot for a base but really messed up the terrain building it and instead of just undoing my changes and making it different I restarted using the same seed. The map had tiny differences from the previous world even though I had used the exact same seed.
