signs . font colour or something else?

can anyone help or suggest a fix, the font on my signs are now almost faded out unreadable from a distance, like they have changed the colour of the font so now it blends into the wood unless your really up close you cant read them. Did they change the font colour can I change the font colour, but since last patch can`t really read my storage signs very fustrating. and no i haven`t put them on back to front 2000+ hours i think i know how to use signs thanks and ideas would be appreciated

try this <color="red">Raw Meat</color>

you don't need the '</color>' at all. You can encode any RGB color in hex as #xxxxxx without the quotes too. #ffd700 is a bright golden yellow you can see from space :)

the color stuff does consume a lot of the sign text allowance which is a minus.

Yes, you do lose some space but that still leaves plenty of room. The color in hex uses up 15 chars, leaving 35 to use. That is still a decent amount of wording to use.

is it smart enough to allow you to drop leading zeros? Eg #ff is that brightest blue? Might save some space to use blue/green/yellow and leave off red flavors as much as possible... its too bad you can't tell it to use 1BPC (eg white is FFF) 4k colors is plenty.
