You can build coin piles and/or stacks, to use excess gold. Also, treasure chests can be built if you find all the materials. You can also keep buying bait for fishing, if you fish.
You can only acquire the bait (and fishing rod) from the trader, and then it requires skilling up to be able to catch fish... so you're effectively grinding so you can pay for the privilege of grinding some more.
To add insult to injury, the reward for maxing out fishing (while catching one of each type of fish) is a hat that adds +20... to your already maxed-out fishing skill.
In Valheim, Haldor could sell some consumables that are normally craftable by the player but are locked behind a boss/a biome. These items wouldn't unlock their recipe upon buying them, and they could be used as if the player had crafted them.
In short, a (very) rich player could bypass some game's linear progress, but not on a definitive basis, only on a item by item basis, if there is enough money, that is if player's main activity is exploration or to a lesser extend mobs' farming. Let's recall that maxing out exploration is not required to "win" the game nor to renew the daily consumable, thanks to breeding; growing and mobs respawning.
The dverger circlet on an armor stand provides a nice bright, semi-directable, light source that requires no fuel to produce light.
