All boars will make a beeline for ANY opening they can get to.
Use the round fence in the Misc tab to build a corral around the parents, and let the little ones out.

I put some food down to see if the adults would try to get through the hole. They ignored the food even though hungry. Piggies aren't hungry so it wouldn't work on them.
The boars are large enough that they can clip through the walls. The piggies are small enough that they don't clip through walls.
You can clearly see 2 boars clipping through the walls in this screen shot.

If you exit render distance the boars can pass through the walls and escape your enclosure.

Piggies apparently see themselves as full size and follow the same rules, and so I think I'm stuck with having to separate boars manually. Crap.
Edit: Ok, I think I give up trying to figure them out. Just removing and replacing blocks changes the boars behavior.
