Whats there to do with water? The waves are incredible as is. More water monsters?
Underwater cities and rebreathers?
However they do it I am pinning my hopes on them seeing they actually have interest here for a more MMO game using similar (but heavily tweaked) mechanics. But perhaps to the game Devs credit they have to my knowledge never speculated what they will do after Valheim 1.0 comes out, and put all their focus apparently into doing just that.
I just hope is a MMO ish world where we could encourage player interaction have a higher active players per server count and to a degree renewable resources to allow for this.
They could even reuse Valhiem Lore and have that set in the "1000s of years Valheim has drifted struck from the world tree, empires have risen and fallen etc" So maybe we could play as the ancestors of the fallen Draugir or the Dverger at their height battling the remnants of the Giantish hordes whose bones litter what is now the mistlands.. Its easy easy easy to see how the lore of this could be set. But I am wishing for the moon I suspect!
Pretty sure we'll hear info soon about a holiday release of Ashlands.
And yes, another dimensions would be dope af, and they can add something new to game for years after release with this. And would be nice if after beating The Forsaken gameplay in another realms will be more souls-like. I mean no steep difficulity (rather HP and damage output of an enemies) rise from biom to biom and more tactical approach to fights. Somewhat like when you clearing fuling camps in Plains in Mistland gear. You still need to be cautios about how you taking fights, but have some room for mistakes and gear build experimentation (like i am currently parrying summoner). Maybe even make in this new dimensions some sort of "Epic" weapons which you can find but not craft.
So, for my taste, making after-endgame content more like adventure game will be positive change and refresh experience after hundreds of hours of survival. You're an Epic Hero now, defeated The Forsaken and have a grudge against ásynjur for making you do the dirty work, so why not do little adventuring? Sure keeping survival aspects like new foods, resources and goods, and keep ability to build your base anywhere
Love it, this is the type of stuff i wanna read!
Thanks ^^
Also long ago i postet at Valheim Discord server in suggestions tread about ocean update.
Like new harpoon types that consume less stamina and allow to tug ships
Enemies in the ocean i suggested to be ships:
1. Skeleton Carvee (or Karve... ergh, english is foreign to me) which will cruise at some distance near Black Forest and Swamp and carry skeleton archers. Reward will be some copper or bronze ingots and valuables
2. Draugr Drakkar which will cruise around the Swamp biom and carry the whole raiding party of zombie-vikings. Reward will be iron ingots, cores and valuables
3. Fuling Battleraft will cruise around Plains and be essentialy floating fuling camp. Reward is black metal ingots, totems and valuables.
Undead ships would defy the wind, but be slower than player built ships. Fuling battleraft will obey the wind, but be pretty fast for its size (imagine scene from Moana where she fought a whole floating island of coconut people). Not too fast for it to overtake drakkar, but still. Also maybe an event called "Old planks are creaking" with whole raid from the sea with undead ships
Omg you got fedsmoker as your profile pic xD Cheers!
