Are you supposed to be killing the Queen solo as the game is at the moment?

I know the bosses are a bit of a mixed bag, but the Queen seems nearly impossible, as equipment can't be fully upgraded yet are you even supposed to try?

Her health is huge, she hits like a truck making getting close difficult, magic works but seems to do so little damage it would take a very un-fun length of time to do.

So do devs expect you to wait to the next main update?

I found the Queen very enjoyable to solo. In my impression you have to be a bit more smart about her and read her and her citadel carefully so that you can respond accordingly.

Obvious tips:
- Be rested
- Have the best food. For me this would be 1 Health, 1 Stamina, 1 Eitr
- Have the best available equipment

I was also using Eikthyr's power for being more mobile. Staff of protection works wonders. Feather cape is almost a must. Fire magic and bombs take care of everything. It doesn't take long to defeat her, IMO.

Honestly, the Queen's my favorite boss so far ...

i simply melted her down with bonemass hugging a wall, was surprisingly fast ..only used poison resist potion.. forgot my stamina potions so i couldve killed her way faster probably, still had like half of my rest-buff left when she died

you can when ever you want to go out off the citadel and heal/fix stuff/rest its just a grindy boss. Its relatively fast with fire wand and bile bombs, also she is very easy to cheese for example by simply walking off an edge near the stairs she will turn around try to get to you the other way. Melee only is a pain and i don't think it was meant as the way you defeat her.

I just watched a video where a guy sprinkled eitr all over the lair and then hid next to the entrance. It very slowly killed the queen lol.

Anyway, she's actually pretty easy and fun. I like that she gets more "moves" as her health degrades. It forces you to adapt a bit during the fight. I never tried her with magic, I just tanked her with mistland gear.

ok, i haven't tried the bile bombs, so maybe that will help the pace. It all seems doable just super slow - just repeating the same techniques, which is why i wondered if you are supposed to wait. I take it there's no need to do it as far as what she drops at the moment?

Nah, like Yagluth before Mistlands came out, her drop is just a placeholder at the moment.

However, if you want her power (increased mining damage to rocks and increased Eitr regen), you'll want to nab her head.
