and the 'spawn' command. It's actually quite easy to do so ...
Thanks, I'm aware of using the console and the wiki, but I was looking for something more specific. Like being able to place down either full fuling/drauger villages on my already discovered map with either console or mods or some other way. Or to just be able to place individual assets from said villages to design or edit my own villages and whatnot.
- 'Spawner_GoblinShaman' for a shaman spawn point
- 'goblin_bed', 'goblin_fence', 'goblin_totempole' and so on gives you the pieces for the village
- 'GoblinBrute 1 3' spawns in a single level 3 (i.e., two star) fuling berserker
Might take some time but should work ...
Also, you probably want to use "ghost" while placing enemies... unless you want to fight them immediately.
You can also find a lot of buildings made by other players on web page Valheimians, available as blueprints.
Oh nice! spawning the pieces for the village is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for taking the time to reply and help out! Everyone else too. I may even checkout that planbuild mod to copy and paste stuff if it works. Thanks again eh
Spawning pieces without a mod will result in spawning them in front of you, randomly oriented and 1m above the ground. If you want to build with it, you will need mods.
Planbuild didn't work for me with goblin building pieces, for some reason i couldn't select it and save as a blueprint. That's where Infinity hammer mod helped.
With Infinity hammer you can point at any building piece (or anything else) and copy it to your building hammer so you can rotate it and place it wherever you want.
That sounds like exactly what I was looking for! I was honestly just starting to think about how to place and rotate them haha. Thank you very much!!
No problem.
If you add World Edit mod, you will be able to do various changes to build pieces.
For example you can run command “object id=* radius=50 health=10E30” which will make all the objects within 50 meters radius indestructible (be careful with it because it affects mobs too).
Or “object ID=* radius=50 creator=0”. This will change the owner of objects you placed to 0, making it neutral so enemies wont attack it. There are a lot of cool things you can do with this mod. If you are interested, you should search YT to see what it can do.
Good thing is that if you use these mods to make something on the server, other players will be able to see it without using mods.
The problems with mods, though, is that they might break the game with new updates given the early-access status of Valheim. So there's some unavoidable risk at the moment when using mods.
Only mods that add new assets and mechanics can make your world unplayable, and that is temporary in most cases… until their creators fix them.
Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
Been playing vanilla so far only but was thinking of getting Better Creative. But, according to you, since it doesn't add anything, it should be fine. Good to know.
And if an update break your mod, you can still run the game without mods. Everything you made with those mods will still be there.
Yes this makes senses. As someone who works with mods every day, I should have concluded that on my own. Thanks.
