I show myself out now.
Also, what are the other relevant details:
* Biome - Stamina is an issue when you're wet in the swamp/rain
* Food items - If you have insufficient health/stamina, blocking gets iffy
* Weapon Type - Skeletons have specific weaknesses, exploit them mercilessly
And, there's always Boss Buffs or Potions if you get into health/stamina trouble.
Grey damage ==> Resist damage
Yellow damage ==> Weakness damage
Skeletors will be featured, and they will deal damage and take damage.
Best way to take out a skeleton before iron is to use a Stagbreaker or a Bronze Mace. They're also weak to fire, so you can use flaming arrows because they are resistant to pierce but weak to fire.
Always keep in mind as well that some mobs will also have a Weak Point as well as a Damage Weakness. An example would be Trolls, who are weak to Pierce damage take a full 2x damage if you hit them in the head ;)
If you don't want to learn their weaknesses and resistances through trial and error, the wiki is usually about 98% accurate
WRONG WRONG! Yellow damage mean STRONG damage
You also have legs from day 0. So put them to use and avoid attacks entirely, then retaliate. Works for literally everything the game will throw at you, but only if you practice.
Fine then, you literally spawned into the game with a weapon that skeletons are doubly vulnerable to. Its called a Torch.
Can't wait to hear how you complain about Trolls... or Ghosts....
I overcame the challenge though, their attacks are easily predictable, so dodge (don't block) and use blunt. I has success with the club (which can be upgraded with bone fragments!)
If you're dealing with too many skeletons, just be sure to dodge everything and slowly get em down.
B. Try to adapt and use different strategies. As said by several people out there use fire arrows or torch or defeat the first boss and craft a bronze mace, or just run away from 'em. Enemies in Valheim can lost you and walk away to their sort of "patrol zone"
Skeletons, graydwarves and even trolls are scary only in the humble beginnings as mobs from next tier biome. Like for now i am a bit afraid of Mistland's mobs, but when Ashland is released and when i will acquire staff from this, all of seekers and gjalls will be just another punchbags
Really?, don't be that guy, a 4 year old could understand what he meant.
Speaking of skeletons, we need more skeletons. You can encounter skeletons as soon as in the Meadows in those graves. Then you encounter them in the Black Forest. Then in the Swamps, and finally in the Mountains..... Wait, were they also in the Plains?, i remember them in the Plains.
