Alternatively, you can build a ward and create a mini-house/shrine around it with a small door to access it whenever you need to. The enshrined ward when activated makes it so unwanted guests cannot interact with your doors, chests, and other things within its radius. The reason for a mini-house/shrine is because people can still break wards, but if it's housed, people can't open the door and break the ward inside.

A common solution to this problem is to have different characters for solo vs group.
You'll never have to worry about losing access to anything in your solo world if it never goes to group in the first place.
