So did they scrw us on radius on wolf bread pairs.. ?
spent 20 hours refining build of 4 wolfs in sky and no GRRRRR hearts...am I missing something or one more overly Anal Dev decision... since I know it used to work. And lastly from one of our farmers on my server.. WHATS up with the Chicken change.. are you guys Trying to make this harder on purpose? Food grind for diminishing returns that dont even stay when you log out is not hard.. its a grind and the least fun part of the game.

I would go so far as to say that it's a bug that needs/needed to be fixed.

Fixing basic mechanics like losing your rested buff just because you had to log out, or having your weapons drop when you touch water is one thing, but not fixing obvious bugs to accommodate Minecraft-style farms is different.

The reason you lose your rested buff when you log out and back in is the same reason that you can't portal metals. Let's say you are in a tough fight and your rested buff runs out. You log off, log into another world where you have a base that has a higher rested buff than available to this character and heal and regen your stamina. Poof you are back and can handle anything and if you lose your health or rested buff you can do the same thing all over again.

You used to be able to log off when swimming and log back in and your stamina bar would be completely full. The devs changed that with Mistlands but you can still cheese it. You just have to log off, log back in on a different world. let your stamina regen and return to your swimming.

You are right on the farming... my buddy is taking a break he was our farmer.. me the builder of forges and such... but stam is so so critical you cant ignore it. Anyway again have fun in game :) Off to try 3 and hope some of the hours were not a waste.
Last thought? Same limits on Boar? They were next since our farmer is on break.
Boars are 5 per 10 meters. Towers no longer work and boar eating radius is 1 meter.

they could make it seed specific fairly easy, and to be blunt a LOT of gamers are adults and ♥♥♥♥ happens especially in a long style game (survival) that you cant save. So I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE! I think comparing it to portals is straw man. That said thank you for the Boar info since my second ramp is either useless or becoming a tower of Boars.
Oh and it goes back again to worrying about (cheese) what a few do rather than the enjoyment of many.. I think Devs and a few elite type players can forget the masses are not cheesing.. they want to have fun.. and most importantly help pay for the dam game. Fixing stuff cool, being overtly anal not so much. And there is a fine line. Many may disagree with me many might not since most of the players do not come on here. Well never know. Anyway unsubing this discussion and I truly hope everyone is out there having fun.
The same breeder you make for boars should still work for wolves. Check to make sure they're eating, because 9/10 when a breeder is failing, it's because the food isn't properly placed. The next biggest reason is pathfinding issues, like using the wrong type of walls or floors.

Breeders aren't cheese in my opinion, they require a lot of effort and knowledge, and resources (now, building them in devmode is cheese if you then use it in survival mode. not the least of which is actually capturing the animals. The only thing breeders really do, is circumvent the mob limit cap by dropping the offspring off a 10m cliff.
I should take a few screens of the large endeavor (formally was a log camp don't get me started on seeds not dropping on cultivated land 1 for 1 on logs) anyway so the idea was breeder up high over some farmland.
I probably took 15+ hours on my chicken breeder, and it's not perfect. I didn't like the designs that were more efficient with getting chicken meat, so I settled for just killing chicks 80% of the time for a more compact and aesthetically pleasing build that fit my base better.

I use a pufferfish mounted on an item display for the killbox though, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else try that, it works fine, and requires no upkeep.

anyway to link that?

My design? It's very tailor-made to my base, I built it inside an existing structure and around some other stuff, so it's not really something anyone would find useful, if you want to see the generic chicken breeder, particularly the business end that makes the chickens, I can link a video. (My breeding section is ALMOST identical, more compact but it's much harder to build when it's compact)

Fixed, I posted the one that didn't work as of the new patch.

For reference, here's my more compact design, it's built into my Eitr Refinery building too though, the Chicken breeder is the tall tower (The egg chute below it into the catch bin and a culler buried underground) https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2045235761567187042/FEDA59C41D0AE9E0DE6B0E36B3977EA4936A4A2A/

i think radius for tames eating and breeding should be greater. also staying near their offspring should be a thing. lox seem to be horrible parents lol. lox baby walks away after birth and bam death by everything.
