Can not find plains boss
Hi,
we are playing in a group of 3 and are unable to find the boss for the plains biome.
Right now, we all have fully upgraded blackmetal equip but have never seen a stone that reveals the location of the boss.
Is that normal? Do we just have to keep searching or are we missing something?

I have done that several times. I have been very luck lately, randomly coming across a stonehenge when I wasn't looking for one, and having it contain the marker. I believe the smaller (3 stones in an arch) formations can have them as well.

I suggest just sailing around plains and looking for stone formations and/or the alter itself. Hop out and check all the stone formations you come across, just watch out for berzerkers!

As mentioned before just look for those stone finger around the altar. I have never found a vegvesir for yagluth so no clue if they even exist. Just keep searching plain biomes, you´ll find a yagluth altar eventually or check your seed on valheim world generator to see where yaggi boy is..

The vegvisirs do exist. Some say they could be found at villages, but on my (old seed) world I've never found them in villages, only on the sides of smaller stone structures. They can consist of just two upright stones, or a whole henge of stones with berserker guards and chests and everything. In fact, if you see a lone fuling berserker, you've most likely found a fuling stone circle.

As always, sailing is the best method of exploration. Sail throughout the world and keep an eye out for the big stone fingers or the henges and other non-natural stone formations.

Keep on searching or if you want you can use https://valheim-map.world you can keep the fog and enable bosses so you only get a direction. Some bosses are just very far away. My Moder was behind the mistlands...

Thank you all very much. We finally found that little rascal. Sitting right at the shore of a formerly undiscovered plains island :)

We found a Yagluth site behind a Stonehenge type formation we could see from our boat while sailing past a new land mass during a storm. I said to my son who was sailing, "Weird, I am sure I just saw what looked like a huge bonfire type flame moving back and forth. It looked like some type of giant engulfed in flames chasing something on the hills a ways inland on that land mass we are approaching!" When we got there, I assumed I was imagining things, expecting to discover what I was seeing was the bonfire from a Fuling farming garrison. There was no Fuling camp, just a stonehenge occupied by a cabinet of wild lox. As we went further inland we saw the giant curved stone pillars that surround Yagluth's altar, like giant sentinels watching over The Thing. At that time I had no idea what Yagluth looked like. I assume what I saw was a Yagluth easter egg graphic one can see from a distance under the right conditions.

In all the times I have played through, (at least a dozen), I have never found the yagluth location stone, prior to finding the altar. I always end up seeing the "hand" from a great distance.

On my latest playthrough, I saw the altar (as usual) from a distance, and walked over to it... Moments before arriving there, I stumbled onto this....

Locating the vegvisir is always an adventure in itself. On this thread I actually found the Yagluth vegvisir on my first stonehenge structure and Moder's in my second Draugr tower. It was Bonemass that I had trouble with and ended up stumbling on his altar before finding a crypt with his location. If luck holds out then The Queen may be in an early infested mine.

same here i cant find the plains boss for 4 days, i cleared over 30 fulling villages, visited every stone fulling tower or structure i found, i have a ridiculous amount of fulling totems, but the location of the boss is still hidden.
heres a screenshot of my current map, i visited every single plains in the east, now sailing west, exploring every plains i find. i am pretty annoyed by this, this isnt my first time playing, so i know how the yagluth arena looks like, i know where to look for the vegvisir, but i simply cant find it. i already have a sap extractor, found several dvergus towers, killed seekers, my equipment is fully upgraded. i am about to give up and cheat by looking up the location for my seed. realy sucks that the vegvisir for yagluth is so super rare. at least on my mapseed.

Rarely, you may end up on a seed where one (or more, but what are the odds) of bosses can only be found on north or south or east or west side of the world... but the vegvisirs will still point to the nearest Forsaken altar of their biome type, and their appearance should be just randomly generated.

Yagluth's vegvisirs are notoriously difficult to find, so perhaps you should expand your search to other sides of the map and keep an eye out for the stone structures which surround his altar.
