The Ticks are more valuable than the Gjall cause the Blood Clots are used for some good things. I often get the Gjall low and then just parry its fireballs waiting for it to spawn Ticks a couple times for more Blood Clot farming.
well that's great for you but i am getting my butt handed to me nearly every encounter. i can't handle so many ticks and worry about the fire balls.
Consider swapping to your best 2hand mace to pop the 3 Ticks quickly.
yeah level 4
Not scouting from above. Not preping the area to fight in. Fire resist pots or fenris armor/yagluth buff. will continue to try to do better.
The big problem created by the first balance patch was that while they removed the second shot, they didn't adjust gjall's aiming AI, causing the creature to miss vast majority of its attacks due to trying to saturate an area instead of actually aiming with care. There was also noticeable delay in their action patterns and general idleness.
I wouldn't mind if they dropped something else than just bile bag, but I can't think what it should be. Blood clots? There should be no shortage of them any longer. Maybe just making the base version have 1-2 bile bags could work, but they are easy to avoid and not a common enemy so you can just leave them be unless they very rarely encroach on settlements under your protection.
this+ hit the big red underbelly & the crossbow will drop it in 4 shots. Any sort of viking tall terrain will block the firebomb.
