Disappointing boss

Me and my buddy spent about an hour killing The Queen just for it to drop "Queen drop" (Placeholder for Seeker Queen item drop) and a trophy, no new crafting recipes or anything. It just felt really pointless :/

Fight her again for another trophy to mount in your house.

Otherwise wait for Ashlands to come out for Queen Item to have a function.

The drop for every boss is what allows you to properly move on to the next biome, and there currently isn't another biome after Mistlands.

No worries! Can't blame you though, with how many games are Early Access these days, its easy to forget that an entire chunk of a game can be missing.
Personally, I avoid doing the "final" boss of Valheim and save it until the next biome. Before Mistlands was a thing, I never did the Plains boss because I would feel like I beat the game and would have nothing left to do, but at least there's more content to come, just avoid exploring the far north and far south of the world in the meanwhile so you don't have to make a new world when those biomes get released.

First time we beat the Queen and it worked like it should but second time for some reason Queen spawned outside the cave and we didn't even open the door. She was just stuck there on the mountain and we could have just killed her with arrows but mehh
