Cool. Thank you!
That's how I've been doing things already, but I had no idea if it actually made a difference or not; I was just doing what made sense to me without any game knowledge. LOL
It has been kind of fun watching the shore line for a ruined structure of some kind each time the sun was approaching setting, so that I could make a quick camp to rest the night with just minimal additional construction.
Interesting 🤔🤔🤔
Yep! I was going to reply to him saying the same thing...because I ended up running into a serpent just yesterday, right outside the river inlet to my base (on that Starting island).
I was sailing against the wind to go check out the island right next door when I saw it chasing me down, but fortunately I was able to turn around and get the wind to my back to get away.
I had one spawn in a literal lake so close to spawn it was visible from the shoreline inside the meadows ring that exists around spawn. There was like a patch of ocean in the middle and it spawned in it.
Now that I have a longship, a Draugr bow and good arrows I actually like having a local sea serpent spawn, it keeps my stocks of Serpent Stew going. :)
I was sailing along the coast with a raft, then I saw some land across a small body of ocean I wanted to get to
Before the "aaahhhh aaaahhhh" sound effect of me reaching the ocean biome for the first time on that character, a sea serpent flew out of the water directly underneath my raft and destroyed it in one hit
Sometimes you can sail for days without seeing any sea serpents
Luckily I haven't seen any 1* or 2* sea serpents lol
