it does suck that the bush can be destroyed. i run around and make all the main large areas with BB and RB easy to read on map.
i think not getting seeds from planting them ok, but if it is destroyed you shud be able to plant that seed to put it back.
I kind of worried the same about bee hives but after I got 12 of them built and found another 20 queen bees I realized that they were every where and I would just have to look if I needed more.
just blip the map any time you come across a group of berries when you explore.
my map is FULL of dots labled;
if you got the fenris set you can just speedrun around to shorten your berry run. berries respawn (that have been picked, destroyed bushes don't) eventually so i don't even go to everything i've labled. just run through a nearby spot every once and a while.
In a destructible world such as this, how would you propose the game would be able to figure out that a berry bush was destroyed accidentally, vs. on purpose?
If the player destroyed the berry bush on purpose, to clear land for a village or some such thing, you wouldn't want it to keep growing back... how is the game supposed to "know" the difference?
I;m afraid what you are asking is likely not going to happen. From time to time, resources get destroyed by errant swings of a weapon / tool, from both enemies and friendlies.
"stuff" happens and, in Valheim, not always the way you planned.
Is there a structure on the land.
If no; regrow slowly over a week.
If yes; do not start regrow timer until clear.
You are still working too hard. Nothing flies in the meadows or blackforest and in the plains cloud berries are every where. Those clumps I was talking about if putting a wall around them is too unsafe just use the hoe to raise terrain. The berry bushes rise up and stay on top.
in one day I can run around an unexplored area and easily come back with 50 berries. If its explored an marked I can come back with 100-200. Twice that for could berries. That game world is on day 1,300+ and I'm no where near in danger of running out. I have 1/2 a black metal chest of raspberries and half a black metal chest of blue berries. I have 2 full black metals chests of cloud berries. Raspberries and blue berries only get used for meads at this point and rarely. I don't feed them to my boars. I grow carrots for the boars. I still use cloud berries for lox meat pies.
If you are really really worried about running out of bushes you can use console commands to place some.
and the amount of berrys around is a heck-a-lot
imho valheim is not a farming simulator
and the devs allready clarified that planting bushes and berrys will not be a part of valheim
