Do boars follow you while tamed yet?
Started a new seed and wanted to get a boar farm going but i know only 2 stars are worth getting. Can tamed boars follow you now or do we have to use the old method of making a walled path with a torch to force the boars to your home?

the "old method" only works on wild pigs, tamed pigs ignore fire.

this means your only means of moving them is to make the walled path, and push them to where you want them to go, which is a frustrating way to do it, admittedly.

Harpoon with friendly fire enabled is the only practical option now.

Why do you need to force already tamed pig to your house?

Moving them to a less vulnerable area perhaps?

Personally I don't see point in going to such lengths with taming, but different strokes for different folks and all that. It can be fun or cute or whatever. :p

Last play through, we captured a 2 star pig...and bred 2 star pigs like crazy. Had unlimited scraps and steady supply of pork. Plus...it's kinda fun, cool mechanic.

Another way to get them to move where you want them is to wait until they are hungry and throw food., just before they get to it pick the food up, repeat.

This method is extremely slow but I can agree it works. The problem is when the animal races off after becoming happily satisfied with your treat.

You want your boars nearby where you're doing other things, because they only breed while you're nearby. That's fine if you want to build/farm where you found your boars, otherwise if you can it's better to move them. Or breed a few and move a few, so you have a backup boar supply to come back to.

harpoon and friendly fire is your friend for any animal other than wolves (follow) or lox (ride). Boar, puppies, hens/chicks...drag 'em where you want them.
