Game crashed while playing on friends server, lost items
Firstly, I want to say I'm not upset about losing items I can craft again, but, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
4 of us playing on a friend's server, I died in mistlands and went back to get my stuff, everything was great, we start exploring again and about 15-20 mins after my game DCs (i have pretty good connection, but this game struggles for me for some reason) and this time the whole game crashes and closes. I load back up and it spawns me right before I get my items back from my tomb... but the thing is there is no tomb now and I have only the items my friend brought to me to help me get back.

Yes that happens. I actually had the opposite happen once. Died just as the world was saving and respawned with all my gear and found a 2nd set on my grave marker.

The issue arises because the game world and your character are 2 separate saves that aren't synced (even if you are playing solo, offline, and on your own computer.)

Yes, Happened just last week. BSOD and came back naked with no grave mark. Took my character local (transferred from cloud) and used a character editor to rebuild most items.

Yes. Happened to me yesterday. Game crashed and I respawned naked with no grave mark. Played party on friends server. Very upsetting...

Are you crashing regularly? If so, check the most common crash reasons in this guide and their solutions. 99% of crashes are related to a particular system being unstable in Unity engine, and not due to faulty game logic. If are of your friends are on Steam, tell the world host to disable crossplay to reduce the lag and disconnects. One person with a bad connection in the team can cause problems for others, so I suggest determining who that is by telling everyone to perform buffer bloat test[www.waveform.com].
