mistlands boss solo
let's get this out of the way, I'm crazy.

I decided to solo the queen.

it took me an hour!

afterwards, i'd harvested 200 royal jelly, and 70 seeker meat.

ludicrous fight! terrified of what the next biome update boss will be!

Yeah it‘s a long fight. We will see what next bosses will be.

Might be time for a Queen tactics discussion for solo play. Being a coward I triggered The Queen wants it all and then ran back to the entrance and just hid behind the wall and used the Demolisher. It was not quite enough to finish her so I had to come out of my hiding place and use Himmin afl until Long Live The Queen. Seen a lot of YouTube and Twitch showing the better caliber players using Mistwalker and the Carapace Spear and even just the eitr magic set. Second time I felt inspired to try the more true-viking-warrior approach and just used Himmin afl still within somewhat safety of the entrance but getting a lot of her spawns as well. In both cases the lingering stamina potion was very beneficial along with poison and fire brew. Second time I did have to use Bonemass but not when just hiding with the Demolisher.

nice, you beat it twice already.
might be "cowardly" but it worked :D: grats

for me, i went in knowing nothing at all.
bonemass power, but mistlands sword, shield, armor, and meat.

my main way of lowering queen's health was dodge attacks, then stab.
but after learning she could summon seekers, and vomit up broods, i started trying other weapons out.
in the end, i found the fire magic was best against brood.
then back to dodge stab when alone with her again.
biggest threat became the big laggy poison bite.

And we can assume that "The Queen Drop" will become something relevant for Ashlands. Since her power increases eitr efficiency it seems that Ashlands will expect more magic prowess than Mistlands. Then again, the Yagluth power didn't seem very useful for Mistlands. Most folks seem to stick with Bonemass.

did it with krom + demo hammer time. needed lingering potion + rested buff. krom did white damage to the belly while the demolisher one shots the brood adds. the issue with the seeker adds where dealt with in 2 methods. you can separate them via running up and down the stairs or use the stairs near the entrance. The queen herself is too large to fit under the staircase. all stairs are indestructable and if you get unlucky with world save timings (great excuse for dying btw) the entrance is close by.

running up and down the stairs or just kiting the broods will have so many in the dungeon it might get laggy. still viable since a certain bald man did this method deathless. speaking of lag, when the queen spawns broods, she also sprays poison goop that also slows you down in more ways than just ingame. to minimise this, you want to be in melee range to boss. I recommend learning her moveset as she introduces them at 75% then 50%. The reason being is that dodging her attacks doesn't allow her to knock you back and triggering her spawn brood vomit.

Took me 9 deaths and well over 2 hours, great job, good on ya.

How many seekers are summon at once? Hopefully like just 2 of them at once. I'd imagine the broods are simply stamina drains and no real threat.

idk but it tooks me like 30 min or so to solo her with mage build. I was hiding in the starting shelter and frosted it while using skeletons to distract it.

disappointed.

I know it's not how I'm supposed to solo her. I should heroically stand in front of her and fight like a viking blocking and fighting back. But I came there to kill her, and I found a way to do it with ease.

You all saying half an hour to even over an hour long, damn. My longest boss fight was Yagluth at around 7 minutes solo.

Does it take forever cause you all retreat to entrance to regen over and over? Or are the adds almost constant giving you no DPS time on the boss?

Shes actually quite easy if you use the magic, frost is my pick, then jump in with the the area affect stuff while the eitr regens,
